must have a coloured Court Stamp.
3. Death Certificate: If either party is a widow/widower.
4. Adoption Certificate: necessary if either of the parties is adopted.
5. Deed Poll Certificate: If either party has changed his/her name by Deed Poll written proof
must be obtained. The documentation must state the following:

ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE EITHER THE
ORIGINALS OR CERTIFIED COPIES. PHOTOCOPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
IMPORTANT: a 10 year passport is required and must be valid
for at least 3 months after your return date to the UK. If you hold a non-UK passport please
notify us at the time you submit your booking form. We do NOT need to receive your passport
before you travel date but please remember to bring it with you!!
If either of you will be under 18 at the time of your marriage you must have written parental
permission on the Wedding Booking/Application form.

CIVIL WEDDINGS
Since all paperwork is processed once you are here in Cyprus with us you must remember to bring
with you those original documents from the above list that are required by your individual
circumstances. We will arrange for you to make affidavits declaring your freedom to marry when
you get here. This is much cheaper than having the documents prepared by a solicitor in the UK.

CHURCH WEDDINGS
Anglican: You must bring with you the appropriate documentation from the list above.
Prior to your wedding you will be interviewed by the person who will conduct the service in
order that they may satisfy themselves that you reasons for getting married are the right ones!
For weddings in some locations/resorts at least one of you must have a baptism/christening certificate. We will inform you of the requirement should you chose to marry in one of these
locations.
Roman Catholic: The church will only conduct weddings if neither party has been
Divorced. You must inform your local priest of you intent to marry abroad. He will then view
both birth certificates and confirm to you what, if any, further documentation is needed.
NOTE: Catholic Church Weddings in Cyprus must be preceded by a Civil
Ceremony.
Orthodox Church: Orthodox Church Weddings can only be arranged provided either
Bride or Groom is Greek Orthodox and if both have been
Baptised. Documentation requirements vary so we will advise you what is needed at time of
booking.
